Feel Our Bite!

United Taekwon-Do will prepare you for the real world.

Welcome to United Taekwon-Do!

United ITFNZ is a family orientated organisation originating in Upper Hutt, New Zealand with schools in Upper Hutt and Wanaka, NZ.

United ITFNZ is proud to be the primary organisation in New Zealand that practises under Grandmaster Choi Jung Hwa, the only son of the Founder of Taekwon-Do General Choi Hong Hi.

Choi Jung Hwa was promoted to 9th Degree Black Belt in 2004 and to the rank of Grandmaster.

Our doors are open to all walks of life, producing some of New Zealand's best fighters, many of whom represent New Zealand on the World Taekwon-Do Stage.

Consistent training at United Taekwon-Do (United ITFNZ) will help with your confidence, self control, and physical fitness. It will improve muscle tone and appearance, whilst increasing strength and stamina. Our curriculum will help improve your cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Your body will have more energy, and your physical strength, flexibility and co-ordination will improve as well. United ITFNZ will also help you maintain good mental health by giving you a positive way of releasing everyday stress and tension. The end result is a healthier mind along with a healthier body.

Parents will often find that their child's grades, attitude toward learning and overall self-confidence improve drastically with regular United ITFNZ class attendance.

It will take you minimum of 5 years of dedicated training to gain your 1st degree black belt with United Taekwon-Do. We pride ourselves on enabling students to be the best that they can, not through rank but through pure sweat and dedication. This takes time, so if you gain a black belt through United you will become a high quality student and a role model to others

There are two main systems of Taekwon-Do: Kukkiwon system, whose sparring system named "Shihap Kyorugi" is an event at the summer Olympics and is governed by the World Taekwon-Do Federation (WTF); and International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), which was founded by General Choi Hong Hi, the father of Taekwon-Do
